Women Count: Civil Society Monitoring Report on UN Security Council Resolution 1325

Women Count: Civil Society Monitoring Report on UN Security Council Resolution 1325

Between 2010 and 2014, GNWP implemented “Women Count" – a first civil society-led monitoring of UN Security Council Resolution 1325 initiative. We facilitated a participatory design of civil society indicators to track the extent to which national and local governments adhere to their commitments on Women, Peace and Security. Over the four years of implementation, we worked with women peacebuilders and civil society in 24 countries, to build their capacity to collect and analyze monitoring data, and prepare monitoring reports. The GNWP team edited the reports to make sure that they are strong advocacy tools, and prepared global trends analysis on the implementation.
