Women Count 2014 Executive Summary

This executive summary presents information from Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Burundi, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Canada, Colombia, Fiji, India, Iraq, Kenya, Libya, Nepal, the Netherlands, the Philippines, Serbia, Sierra Leone, South Sudan, Sri Lanka, Sweden and Uganda, countries that took part in the 2014 monitoring exercise. A more comprehensive report to be released by the end of the year will highlight the gains, gaps and challenges in implementation of the key pillars of the resolution: participation, prevention and protection, and promotion of gender equality in peace and security work.
