Foteini is an M.Sc. candidate in Global Affairs at the New York University Center for Global Affairs. Her academic interests include Gender and Transnational Security, with a focus on women’s political participation in post-conflict settings. In her academic work she has written on the participation of women in high-level negotiations on the Treaty for the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons, on drivers of change in post-revolutionary settings in the North Africa region and on the intersection of Gender with Artificial Intelligence and predictive algorithms.
Prior to moving to enrolling in the Global Affairs program, she worked on research and advocacy in the healthcare and pharmaceutical sector in Greece. She has also served as the Secretary General to the International Personnel Certification Association, working with international members to promote standardization in the professional sector. She has a bachelor’s in Translation and Interpreting and speaks French and Spanish.
