Sena is pursuing a Masters in Global Affairs at New York University with a concentration on Peacebuilding and specialization in the UN. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations & Political Science from Istanbul Sehir University, Turkey.
Sena was granted Erasmus Global Exchange scholarship as a visiting researcher at the Center for China Studies – National Taiwan University, Taiwan, in 2018. She conducted research about the role of African women in China-Africa relations.
She worked as a graduate consultant at Search for Common Ground-Sri Lanka, and it has inspired her to focus on women peacebuilding initiatives in the post-civil war era in Sri Lanka. She is passionate about mediation & dialogue, conflict prevention, and greater gender equality.
