Political & Administrative Mapping Diagrams
The Global Network of Women Peacebuilders (GNWP) has conducted the Localization of Women, Peace and Security (WPS) resolution strategy in over 18 countries for more than a decade. Throughout the years, the Localization Strategy has seen three major outputs: 1) the development of Local Development Plans; 2) the integration of gender provisions into local development plans; and 3) the adoption of local laws or ordinances on gender.
These outputs, and the application of the Localization Strategy, has always been contextualized and dependent on the country's political and administrative structures. To support the expansion of the Localization Strategy and provide easy public-access to political systems in the countries where GNWP and its local partners have implemented Localization, GNWP is developing Political & Administrative Mapping Diagrams. These diagrams or based on government resources, external research, and developed in consultation with GNWP partners.
Please note that these diagrams are published and updated on an ad hoc basis and may not represent the latest administrative structure. GNWP recommends consulting government websites linked in the diagrams for the most up-to-date information.
