Pía Madanes is a second-year graduate student at NYU’s Center for Global Affairs pursuing a degree in Global Affairs with a concentration in Peacebuilding and a specialization in Data Analytics.
Prior, she worked at the UN Secretariat, the Buenos Aires City Legislature, and multiple NGOs in Argentina and Jordan. Her research interests include transformative education, women’s empowerment, and feminist mobilization with an emphasis on Latin America.
Pía holds a Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences with a specialization in communication and journalism from Torcuato Di Tella University, Argentina. She currently works as a Graduate Project Assistant at NYU’s Global TIES for Children, an international research center that generates robust and culturally-grounded evidence to support programs and policy action that promote children’s development in crisis-affected contexts.
