Mapping Reports on Peacebuilding Policies, Initiatives and Actors
The Global Network of Women Peacebuilders (GNWP) has conducted the Localization of Women, Peace and Security (WPS) resolutions strategy in over 20 countries for more than a decade. Throughout the years, the Localization strategy has enabled three major outputs: 1) the development of Local Development Plans; 2) the adoption of local laws or ordinances on gender; and 3) the integration of gender- and conflict-sensitive provisions into local development plans.
The Localization strategy is a bottom-up participatory approach to ensure local ownership in the application of the WPS resolutions. To support the expansion of the Localization of WPS resolutions in the countries where GNWP and its local partners have implemented the strategy, GNWP develops mappings on peacebuilding policies, initiatives and actors. These reports are based on government resources, external research, and developed in consultation with GNWP partners.
Please note that these mappings are published and updated on an ad hoc basis and may not represent the latest information.
