Liv Cerba
Peacebuilding Communications Intern
Liv Cerba is a master’s student in International & Public Affairs at the University of Montreal (Québec, Canada) but is originally from France. Passionate about gender equality and international relations, most of her research work has focused on feminist foreign policies and feminist diplomacy, while volunteering for various organizations. She participated in a campus-led initiative to bring free menstrual products to all students, as well as in the UN Women local chapter. She also launched her own organisation, in 2020, which aims to create a caring virtual community where women can realize and develop their potential. Her organization’s horizontal networking events were accredited as part of the Generation Equality Forum in 2021. She’s very active in the civil society initiatives surrounding the UN, especially CSW. She also interned for various NGOs, which led her to work on internal gender equality policies as well as partners’ consultations in the process, and to becoming Focal Point on Gender Equality for a high-level international Forum in Geneva.
Creative at heart, and having learned a lot by running her own organization, Liv wishes to learn more about organizational communications and advocacy by volunteering with GNWP.
