
Dr. Jasmin Nario-Galace

Dr. Jasmin Nario-Galace is the Executive Director of the Center for Peace Education (CPE) and Professor at the Department of International Studies in Miriam College. She has authored or co-authored publications on peace education, conflict resolution, arms control and women, peace and security.
She is President of Pax Christi Philipinas and Chair of the Catholic Educational Association of the Philippines’ Justice and Peace Education Committee. She is also a Member of the Board of the Philippine Council for Global and Peace Education and currently leads the Peace Education Network. She also acted as Coordinator of the CSO Group of the Preparatory Committee that led the formulation of the UNSCR 1325 National Action Plan (NAP) in the Philippines and Co-convener of the Women Engaged in Action on 1325 (WE Act 1325), a national network of women from peace, human rights and women’s organizations that helps implement the NAP on Women, Peace and Security.
She also serves in the International Advisory Council of IANSA. She represents the CPE at the Women Peacemakers Program-Asia, the Asia-Pacific Women’s Alliance on Peace and Security (APWAPS) and the Control Arms Coalition. She also co-represents the CPE at the International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons (ICAN). She is also in the Group of Experts of Forum Arms Trade as well as in the Global Funding Board of the Global Acceleration Instrument for Women, Peace and Security representing APWAPS.
