
Dr. Jasmin Nario-Galace

Dr. Jasmin Nario-Galace concurrently serves as Senior Program Director at GNWP. She is immediate past Vice-President for Academic Affairs at Miriam College, and also serves as Program Manager for Gender, Peacebuilding and Disarmament at the Center for Peace Education (CPE). She is Professor at Miriam College’s Departments of International Studies and Education.
Jasmin is President of Pax Christi Philipinas and part of the Facilitation Team of Pax Christi Asia-Pacific and the Board of Pax Christi International. She is also a member of the Leadership Team of the International Action Network on Small Arms (IANSA). She played a vital role in coordinating the CSO Group of the Preparatory Committee for the formulation of the UNSCR 1325 National Action Plan (NAP) in the Philippines. She is co-convener of the Women Engaged in Action on 1325 (WE Act 1325), a national network of women from peace, human rights and women’s organizations that helps implement the NAP on Women, Peace and Security. She is also co-convener of Women Peacekeepers-Pilipinas, a network of women that builds local women’s capacities on conflict prevention and resolution and peacebuilding.
Jasmin is also a consultant at the Catholic Educational Association of the Philippines, ensuring excellence in Catholic higher education standards. She contributes to the Catholic Nonviolence Initiative through its Committee on Education and is an accreditor at the Philippine Accrediting Association of Schools, College, and Universities (PAASCU).
As a CPE Senior Associate, she continues to engage with the Control Arms Coalition and the International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons (ICAN). She is also in the Group of Experts of the Forum Arms Trade.
She has authored or co-authored several publications on peace education, conflict resolution, arms control, and women, peace and security.
