Research and Advocacy Associate
Erika is a passionate organizer from the unceded and traditional lands of the Mississaugas of Scugog Island, also known as the greater Toronto area. Erika is a graduate of the Bachelors and Masters of Social Work programs at Ryerson University, a recipient of a Post-Masters Certificate from New York University, and is currently a Master of Science in Public Health Student at the London School of Hygiene in Tropical Medicine.
Meaningful adolescent and youth engagement is central to Erika’s work in global health, drug policy, food justice, and sexual and reproductive health and rights. In early 2021, Erika was selected to represent Canadian interests at both the United Nations Commission on Narcotic Drugs and the G7 Youth Summit. More recently, Erika has contributed to developing inclusive youth engagement practices with Save the Children, the World Health Organization, the United States Agency for International Development, and the International Youth Alliance for Family Planning.
