Peacebuilding Research Associate

Dulani Hannadige is a Peacebuilding Research Associate at GNWP. Dulani is currently a graduate student pursuing a Master of International Affairs (MIA), focusing on human rights policy and gender & public policy, at Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA). She also serves as the Director of Communications for the Gender Policy Working Group at SIPA. Her interests include transformative gender mainstreaming and decolonization, the role of gender in conflict and post-conflict experiences, and inclusive, localized peacebuilding.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts with highest distinction in international studies and sociology, with a minor in women, gender and sexuality studies, from the University of Kansas. Her previous research focused on the role of social categories in women’s experiences of the Sri Lankan Civil War. Hailing from Colombo, Sri Lanka, Dulani is committed to more inclusive and sustainable development and peacebuilding which center diverse community voices and needs.
