Improving information access and management:
Monitoring Violations
Increasingly, women use ICTs to document human rights violations. Solutions that allow anyone to submit reports of violations using both digital and non-digital means (e.g., text messages) are becoming more popular. These can form a basis for accountability, as well as future reconciliation and transitional justice processes. Women also use ICTs to collect and analyze information about trends in their communities – for example, to conduct needs analysis or monitor levels of violence.
