Youth Peacebuilding Influencer

Ezugwu Christiana O. is a young Nigerian woman who is passionate about leadership and using her voice to advocate for women and girls in rural communities. She is the founder and CEO of Eco Women Initiative, an organization working to herald a global transformation through grassroots-level work on the education and empowerment of women and girls. In addition, she created the Pacesetters Leaders Forum, which helps students from different backgrounds to build capacity and discover purpose. She also served as a state coordinator of the Association of Nigerian Female Students, and is currently a youth member of the National Council for Women’s Societies Nigeria. 

Ezugwu Christiana O. is a graduate of Public Administration from Federal Polytechnic Nekede Owerri, where she previously served as the Vice-President of the Students Union Government. In this position, she was able to build and maintain the peaceful coexistence of students from various backgrounds, religions, and ethnic groups. She has completed multiple classes on leadership, as well as trainings for young women in leadership and peacebuilding. With this knowledge, she has gone on to organize campaigns in various regions throughout Nigeria, advocating for peace and empowering young Nigerian women to understand their own reproductive health while providing access to free menstrual health products. She has also organized self-esteem-building workshops for girls in secondary school and capacity-building seminars for girls in rural communities.
