Junior Peacebuilding Influencer
Ezugwu Christiana O. is a young woman who is passionate about leadership and lending her voice for the benefit of the girl child and women in rural communities. She is the founder of Eco Women Initiative, an initiative that is on a mission of heralding global transformation through the education and empowerment of the girl child and women at the grassroots level. She is a female students leader who has helped students from different backgrounds to build capacity and discover purpose through the Pacesetters Leaders Forum which she created and the Association of Nigerian Female Students where she functioned as a state coordinator. She is a youth member of the National Council for Women Societies Nigeria.
Ezugwu Christiana O. is a graduate of Public Administration from Federal Polytechnic Nekede Owerri, a former Students Union Government Vice-President. Through her position was able to build and maintain the peaceful coexistence of students from various backgrounds, religions, and ethnic groups. She has carried out peace campaigns, menstrual hygiene campaigns, campaigns against teenage pregnancy in the Uzo-Uwani local government area of Enugu State; self-esteem-building workshops for girls in secondary school in Umuerim community Nekede Owerri, Imo state; as well as, capacity-building seminars and skills acquisition training for students and girls in rural communities. She has undergone different classes on leadership and training for young women in leadership and peacebuilding. She’s currently a young Nigerian peacebuilder and member of GNWP’s Young Women Leaders for Peace chapter in Nigeria.
