
Cecilia Lazara
Regional Focal Point for Latin America
Cecilia is the Regional Focal Point for Latin America. She holds a master’s degree in global affairs from New York University, with a specialization in International Development and Humanitarian Assistance. At NYU she conducted peacebuilding research in Chaparral (Colombia), analyzing the strategies used by women to address their status as victims of the internal armed conflict.
Prior to her studies, she worked in the Argentinian Senate and in a Social Observatory, where she investigated gender policies and advocacy strategies for women’s sexual and reproductive rights. Cecilia has also worked as Head of Logistics for an international Food Broker. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Universidad del Salvador in Buenos Aires, where she graduated with honors.
