1325 Policy Group (1325 PG)

1325 Policy Group is a Swedish non-governmental organization working for the full implementation of UNSCR 1325 and the women, peace, and security agenda nationally and internationally, particularly in conflict- and post-conflict areas. The objective is to strengthen civil society actors and others wanting to contribute to the implementation of UNSCR 1325 and women’s increased participation in all matters to do with peace and security, through capacity building.
Mission: 1325 Policy Group also aims to be a leading expert organization on the realization of UNSCR 1325 and function as an asset to other organizations working to implement the paragraphs of the resolution. The organization’s long-term vision is that women can participate in peace processes and conflict resolution to the same extent and on the same terms as men. 1325 Policy Group’s vision is also that peace processes and conflict resolution processes are transparent and inclusive of all stakeholders and instilled with a human security approach.
Programs: 1325 Policy Group works to fulfill its objective through training, capacity building, advocacy, method development, as well as the development of new policies on women, peace, and security. Our aim is to be a modern and dynamic organization built on experience and strong partnerships.

Girl Ambassador for Peace in DRC receives scholarship to study medicine!

We wish to congratulate Bénédicte, Girl Ambassador in South Kivu, for her scholarship in medicine! We are proud of your accomplishments!

“My dream is to become a gynaecologist doctor to help other women, especially in rural areas, that suffer from gynaecological health issues and that do not have access to medical services due to poverty and inability to reach hospitals. Following this situation affecting young women and girls in these regions (Mumosho), this continues to pull my heartstrings, I quickly understood that we need to act. I am certain that thanks to this scholarship for studying medicine from The Ring Project, that I continue to thank with all my heart, I will become a Congolese woman of service for other rural Congolese women.” —Bénédicte Maheshe Bulangalire, Girl Ambassador for Peace, South Kivu, DRC
