Kelly holds a M.A. in International Affairs with a concentration in Peace and Security from CUNY Brooklyn College. She obtained her Bachelor’s degree from Hunter College in Political Science, where she became passionate about Latin American policy and the empowerment of women in that region of the world. She has been part of the GNWP International Coordinating team since 2014 and has assisted in the global advocacy efforts of the organization. Fluent in Spanish, she has also contributed to the review of the Spanish version of the Global Study on Women, Peace and Security (2015). Her previous work experience extends to an internship with UN Women in their Research Mobilization Department and various volunteering projects. Aside from women’s empowerment, Kelly is also an avid advocate of immigrant rights and seeks to end the negative stereotypes that plague her community.
